Promote an urban art culture that enriches our city and stimulates service, spirituality, and cultural transformation

Values
Creativity: The ability to create and enjoy beauty is at the heart of our God-like humanity. A healthy soul is a creative soul. A healthy community thrives in a multi-dimensional network of creative people, dynamically connected by their love for life and commitment to the greater good. PMA will foster individual and corporate creativity that enhances genuine beauty in our culture.

Spirituality: The human desire to enjoy and create art reflects our innate desire to connect with transcendent realities. In this sense, the arts provide a window into the human spirit. PMA will enhance the spiritual health of our community, by acknowledging the spiritual nature of the arts, and pointing to the spirituality of Jesus Christ expressed through the arts, in the context of interfaith dialogue.

Note: Poiema Church is a partner organization of Poiema Music and Arts. However, PMA and Poiema Church are legally separate entities. PMA is not a church, nor part of a church. PMA partners with various religious and non-religious, organizations to fulfill its broader mission.

Others: The spirituality of Jesus leads us to serve others in need. PMA calls people to get outside of themselves and into the lives of the needy. We will advance “other-centered” community service by combining artistic events with service projects in the city.

Goals

Develop a world-class performing venue
· Book and/or promote the best musicians, artists and entertainers in the world. This will enhance the urban art culture, and advance service initiatives in the city, by mobilizing the people who attend venue events to serve in specific projects.
· Lease venue to local, not-for-profit organizations as appropriate

Develop and display local artists
· Give artists a place to display, and/or perform their talent through concerts, galleries, festivals, etc.
· Network artists with other artists and synergistic partnerships in the region
· Provide professional training for younger artists to develop their talents and seize opportunities. PMA is associated with world-class artists who are committed to using their talent to develop local talent.

Produce musical talent under the PMA label
PMA will use its professional staff and recording studio to record and produce selected musical talent. This will enhance the local music scene, and generate funds to advance the PMA mission.

Mobilize thousands of community servants to serve our city
· Promote and execute service projects by combining service projects with venue events.
· Support and resource service projects and other non-profit service organizations

Invest resources in like-minded non-profit organizations                                                                           Run PMA to make a profit. Invest all profits in non-profit organizations that advance our mission, including Poiema Church initiatives, urban church plants, and various service organizations in the city.
