User Reviews about Targus 32-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader TGR-CRD25
The Targus 25-in-1 memory card reader takes the hassle from uploading photos and videos from multiples devices onto a computer. The cards that can be transferred using this model are Memory stick pro/duo/magic gate cards, SDHC/SD/MMC cards, XD cards, and Compact Flash/I/II/IBM Micro Drives. Now, there aren't 25 cards listed here. This is due to the fact that the listed cards have different sizes.
The reader attaches by using a supplied USB cable. Card readers make uploading media to a computer 10 times easier when you have more than one digital camera or camcorders that use memory cards. My laptop has a memory card slot, but it doesn't read all types. This model is able to read 25 types, making it highly functional.
Another reason I bought a card reader, was that not all camera charge when on a USB cable. This was the case with my digital camera that I use the most. If the battery was close to dying, I couldn't upload pictures until I charged it. With a card reader, this isn't an issue. They don't run on a battery, they run off of the energy supplied by the computer. -- What you would expect for the price
I have a PowerPC iMac running Leopard and this worked fine. I inserted the XD card (no damage) and plugged the reader into the USB port and iPhoto opened automatically. I imported my pictures in seconds. I was looking at buying a $35-40 Belkin and got this instead. Perfect. I especially appreciate that no driver is required. My first card reader did, and the manufacturer stopped supporting it. -- Works fine on a Mac
