I bought this because my computer would not recognize the SDHC card from my digital camera. I plugged it into the USB port and in a few moments my computer said the new hardware was ready to use. I plugged the SDHC card into it, and I was able to access all of my pictures. Since it was such a low cost item, I purchased two of them just in case one didn't work, but they both worked. -- Works great and low price

This card reader is a very cheap, handy way to transfer files from an SD memory card to a computer. Basically it turns any SD memory card into a USB drive.

I mainly use it to transfer images on my DSLR camera to my computer and it has made the process faster and easier. Instead of attaching a USB cable between by camera and my computer, I take the memory card out of the camera, put it in the SD Memory card reader and attach the reader to my computer. It's easier this way because I just have the USB sticking out of my computer instead of a cable and large camera which can be a balancing act sometimes, depending on where I am. (I use a laptop.)

One downside to it is that it's not completely solid. It feels a little fragile, I had to wrap it in electrical tape because it started to fall apart a few days after I got it. That being said it has always performed exactly as it should and still does, it's just not a very durable thing. It's only a few dollars and similar equipment that does the same thing will rarely be that cheap.

Bottom line is if you hate spending money, it's a good buy because it's usefulness and super low price balance with the plastic fragility. -- USB SD Memory Card Reader

This product has actually performed better than expected. I thought with the price I paid, even if I got a months use out of it, what the hay. Well it's been over a month, I use it everyday. The card reader is great and I haven't got 1 complaint. The shipping was quicker than anticipated as well. All in all, an awesome buy.
