Works perfectly. I guess it is true that form follows function. I needed an adapter to fit into a tight space and this was the absolute smallest form factor that could possibly be made. Not only looks good, but is lightning fast. Very impressed with the design and quality of the product. -- Superb!

I have had trouble with the durability of several MicroSd readers. I travel extensively and have evolved from lugging manuals and documents, to carting CD's and now to MicroSD's. I have used the Elago for a few months and it is built to take it despite being so small. the plastic is sturdy and stands up to my heavy use.
One other note, on some of my previous readers, they would fail to be recognized by the some PC's (or required multiple re-insertions), this one always reads 100%. I bought 2 and may purchase more in case they go out of production or cheapen the quality as often happens. -- Sturdy and Reliable

I purchased this card reader for use as a small flash drive, permanently paired with a large, fast micro SD card, and have not been disappointed. The device holds micro SD cards securely, the lid is tight, and the whole thing is built solidly.

For use as a multi-purpose, utility flash drive, Windows XP, 7, and Ubuntu recognize the device quickly (faster than some dedicated flash drives), and the transfer speed is fast. It travels well, and the lid stays on fairly securely. I'm very pleased with this device. -- Smallest Flash Drive Ever

I gave this product 3 stars because it could have been perfect with a little more effort. Size is perfect, ease of putting micro sd card in the device was very easy, blue LED to indicate it's on, very cool. I bought three of these and could only get the key chain attachment on one of them without destroying the black sheath around the mono filament. The black plastic cover just pushes on the USB section and is not snug at all, and certainly could have been built to stay on tighter. Overall, brilliant product with a couple of flaws that if fixed, would be the perfect thumb drive. -- Not bad

I carry a number of USB drives (With one containing a LiveOS) but I hated that they stuck out so far making me worry I would break the USB port on the laptop. This sits almost flush and with a Class 6 8gig MicroSD card I get performance faster than my generic USB drives. Write speeds were a sustained 11mb/s while on my el-cheapo Sandisk USB drive it was 4-5.
