User Reviews about Connectland CL-FP-JM673 Multi-Function Front Panel for 5.25-Inch Bay with USB2.0 Card Reader - 1394a - Audio - SATA
Its made very nice
only downfalls is it only works with ac97 motherboard prongs
if you use HD realtek, you have to go into the realtek settings and uncheck the auto detect feature
for it to work , also it has a shrill sound coming from it when using headphone jack on front
usb jacks nice tight fit - great!
blue light stays on lit the whole time your computer is on - not sure if thats a good thing lol -- decent made - one downfall
UPDATE: I did end up reordering this panel and the second one works great. The card slots show up as 4 drives, but this is an issue with most media panels I believe. Also, the sound is only AC97, not HD, so you have to go into BIOS and downgrade if you have a newer motherboard. Overall, I'm quite happy with this.

Pros: Actually less cheesy in person than it looks in the picture. Great features. Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't have any trouble with the cable length when I installed it in the top 5.25" slot.
Cons: Only comes in silver. Plastic case fit fine in the slot, but it takes just a little effort to drive the self-tapping screws.
Problems: The card reader (top circuit board in the case) has a 5-pin USB plug, not the newer 9-pin (5 + 4). I tried it (on the motherboard) in the top row, bottom row, rightside up and upside down and each time Windows shut down the device due the device reporting a USB error. I finally had to return the product. I also couldn't figure out the use of the DC power cord. It was a 4-pin female plug that terminated in a male SATA plug... strange.
Due to the relatively small selection of 5.25" readers, I may try this one again. -- Update - second one works great
Nice but...it would be better if it came in choice of colors...if it supported xd cards...if the cables were a bit longer, not all motherboards have the pins in the best positions. I wanted to mount it at the top of my case, but the cables are too short so I had to mount it at the bottom bay. -- Nice but.
