Although shipped in just a simple small padded envelope, item was not damaged in shipping. Protective end caps fit tightly enough to stay on when not in use. Item fits into a USB port snugly but not overly tight which is also good. Data transfer rate using a 4GB 6x SDHC memory card was about 13 Mb, faster than required for this class of memory card. A winner! -- Good value, good transfer speed, even survived USPS shipping.
